About
The Centre for Youth Ministry is a collaborative partner of the University of Gloucestershire and Staffordshire University. I have been involved in CYM since the beginning of the process of establishing it. Our main emphasis is professionally qualifying youth work courses at levels 3-7 and we also offer courses for people wanting to work with children and families and in schools.
I am interested in all facets of training, supporting and developing youth workers and others in ministry, this includes in particular what is a sustaining spirituality, Myers Briggs Type Indicator and youth workers, Christian youth work, youth spirituality, reflective practice and leadership. I work predominantly in the field of practical theology and youth work and youth ministry. I was involved in a project exploring the effectiveness of Christian youth work and youth spirituality with and Sylvie Collins Mayo and Bob Mayo published as The Faith of Generation Y. I have just finished a dissertation on Regenerative Practice a concept I sought to define and am exploring researching shame in professional practice. I am on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Adult Theological Education.
